A Keyboard Shortcut
I loooooove keyboard shortcuts. They're really fun to use.
Here's one you can use for navigating links on webpages.
Find and Click
If you've highlighted a link using Ctrl+F, you can also click on it by hitting Ctrl+Enter.
Example
- Go to thesephist.com/posts.
- Hit Ctrl+F and type "name". This should jump to and highlight the post, "Name your ideas"
- Hit Ctrl+Enter. This will click on and take you to the post.
Tips
- You don't need to highlight the whole link. Just a portion of it, like in the example above.
- If there are multiple search results, you can cycle forwards and backwards through them using Ctrl+G and Ctrl+Shift+G.
- This only works with links that you can search up. For clicking on other links, like icons, checkout the Vimium chrome extension.
- Sometimes it's better to use your mouse.
p.s. I use chrome. Not sure if this works on other browsers.
